Operations Manager Job Description

Kinn Studio is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of our operations, including production, inventory control, and fulfillment. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the fine jewelry business, and experience in planning and buying.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including production workflows, inventory management, and order fulfillment processes.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure optimal use of materials and adherence to production schedules.
  • Manage and track inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts, preventing overstock or shortages, and coordinating restocking efforts.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies, ensuring the timely procurement of materials and finished goods.
  • Coordinate with the sales and marketing teams to forecast demand and align production schedules accordingly.
  • Ensure fulfillment timelines are met, optimizing logistics and distribution channels.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes for increased efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage and analyze data related to production, inventory, and fulfillment to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management, preferably in the fine jewelry, luxury goods, or DTC industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the jewelry business, including understanding of production cycles, sourcing, and fulfillment processes.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and fulfillment operations.
  • Solid background in planning, buying, and procurement, with a track record of optimizing supply chains.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Shopify, Shipstation, inventory management tools).
