Job Summary

Under the direction of the PAS supervisor/manager, the Patient Access Representative is responsible for assisting patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits as well as completing financial clearance functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients during the registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits.
  • Complete financial clearance functions, including verifying patient information and insurance coverage.
  • Work closely with the PAS supervisor/manager to ensure efficient and effective patient registration and financial clearance processes.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
  • 3 years of experience within Patient Access of Business office setting.
  • Experience with insurance eligibility systems.
  • 3 years of Utilization of medical terminology in job setting.
  • Knowledge in medical billing codes.
  • 1 year of Knowledge of Epic Applications.
