Under the supervision of the Patient Access Services manager, the Senior Patient Services Specialist possesses a comprehensive understanding of all tasks executed by Patient Access. This role entails, but is not limited to, guiding patients through the registration process for both scheduled and unscheduled appointments. The individual is equipped to finalize the registration process by gathering precise demographic data, insurance details, securing prior authorizations as necessary, notifying insurance providers, completing financial assessments, and collecting patient liabilities (if applicable) prior to or at the time of service.

Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare, specifically within Patient Access or a business office environment.
- Associate's Degree.
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration, or equivalent education/experience.
- Certification as a Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) from the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) or a related certification.
