Job Summary

The QA Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and workplace safety across all Restaurant Associates locations. This includes maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal health codes, as well as ensuring that all necessary permits are up to date.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct unit trainings on food safety for Associates and Managers
  • Engage hourly associates and managers in utilizing proper tools and monitoring health and hygiene
  • Provide pre-meal trainings on food safety points of the day
  • Ensure logs are in place and updated on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Monitor monthly BOH cleaning schedules
  • Assist in providing corrective action plans and solutions for HSS, DOH, and NSF inspections
  • Conduct monthly food sanitation meetings
  • Assist in following up to complaints regarding food borne illness and food related injuries
  • Follow up on all DOH violations, including DOH Tribunal
  • Engage in role as Regional Safety Champion to reduce or eliminate accidents
  • Ensure compliance of safety standards set by Compass and Google
  • Follow up with unit safety champions regarding implemented safety procedures
Requirements
  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5 to 10 years kitchen experience or 3 to 5 years field experience as inspector
  • Ability to work independently producing positive results
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to teach and train various skills and subjects to individuals and small groups
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety
  • Ability to problem solve and give pragmatic solutions
  • Knowledge of local and state Health Code
  • Understand HACCP
  • ServSafe certified and possess a valid a DOH Food Protection card
