Key Responsibilities:- Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, including quality control.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with the Radiation Safety Program and ALARA standards for the nuclear medicine department.
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols.
- Optimize imaging devices to guarantee high-quality images.
- Ensure efficient workflow within the department.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills and supervise staff in delivering patient care.
- Supervise and perform high-quality nuclear medicine procedures.
- Provide feedback on image quality.
- Compile QA data and maintain exam protocols.
- Coordinate with other departments on issues.
- Recommend and manage equipment needs.
- Oversee staff training, hiring, and evaluations.
- Handle disciplinary actions as per the facility handbook.
- Minimum 5 years as a Nuclear Medical Technologist.
- Three years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience, including one year of work-lead or supervisory experience.
- Graduation from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related field of study.
- License and or Certification.
- Must be ARRT (N) or CNMT certified.
- Must obtain a license from the Maryland Board of Physicians Quality Assurance to practice as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in the state of Maryland.
