Electrical Power Systems Hardware Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Power Systems Hardware Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our electrical engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high and medium power systems for our spacecraft.

Your primary focus will be on high and low voltage distribution, power regulation, and conversion. You will work closely with firmware, software, systems, and mechanical engineers to deliver full operational and integrated flight hardware.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, lead, and own high and low voltage, avionic designs that interact with electrical power consumers.
  • Support power regulation and distribution architecture trade studies, analyses, performance characterization, and specification.
  • Participate in program level technology development, mission assurance, and safety initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
  • 8+ years of experience in design, development, test, and operation of vehicle Avionics systems.
  • Breadth of understanding in electronics hardware development, including high voltage switching, power regulation, and analog, digital, or mixed-signal circuit design.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Basic or better knowledge of radiation effects on electronics and how to apply this to designs targeting space applications.

Electrical Design and Analysis Tools:

  • LTSpice, PSpice, SIMetrix/SIMPLIS, Simscape.

Compensation Range:

$156,910.50-$219,674.70 (CA applicants), $144,277.88-$201,989.03 (CO applicants), $156,910.50-$219,674.70 (WA applicants).
