Job Summary

This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Position. The Air National Guard Units are seeking a highly skilled Management Support Specialist to join their team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and oversee the full complement of activities within the Group Commander's Support Staff.
  • Plan, organize, and execute all Group information management and personnel activities.
  • Manage training programs for administration and personnel in accordance with established command guidelines.
  • Serve as the Group point of contact and liaison with the servicing Force Support Squadron on personnel and manpower actions.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters, and convey information.
  • Participate in special studies and projects relating to planning, coordinating, and analyzing the effectiveness/efficiency of the Group CSS in meeting Air Force Administration program goals.
  • Develop CSS consolidated resource plan for staff support, including budget, equipment, computers, supplies, and required services.
  • Exercise limited supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Military Grades: Enlisted (SrA/E4 to MSgt/E7)
  • Minimum Requirements: Experience, education, or training that provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration.
  • Experience using computer and automation systems.
  • SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training in any position that required compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information.
  • Applicants must have experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled.
  • Applicants must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management.
  • Experience developing administrative procedures.
Education

You must provide transcripts documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
