The Project Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting Superintendents and Project Managers with various field activities, including estimating, procurement, and report preparation. This position is essential for ensuring comprehensive assistance across all project phases.
- Assist in field operations and provide technical support to project teams.
- Engage in estimating project costs and managing procurement processes.
- Prepare detailed reports and manage subcontractor relationships.
- Ensure effective communication among team members and trades.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, systems, and tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and perform under pressure.
- Proficient in interpreting plans, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Exceptional mathematical and computer proficiency.
- Familiarity with MS Office, Bluebeam, and Procore software.
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
- Experience with process plant piping systems and associated equipment.
- Competence in developing process plant drawings, including P&IDs and piping layouts.
- Proficient in ACAD drafting.
- Knowledge of standard practices within the process industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
- Physical capability to navigate construction sites, including walking and climbing.
- Experience with 3D ACAD drafting tools such as Inventor and Plant 3D.
- Familiarity with MS Projects for scheduling.
- Additional experience in process plant environments.
