POSITION SUMMARY

The role involves delivering exceptional service to guests by providing high-quality beverages and products while ensuring a tidy and welcoming atmosphere.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (This list is not exhaustive and may include other duties)
  • Consistently prepares and serves quality beverages, whole bean products, and food items by following established recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Adheres to health, safety, and sanitation protocols for all products.
  • Provides outstanding guest service by prioritizing guest needs and establishing a connection with them.
  • Identifies and addresses guests' requirements effectively.
  • Keeps a clean and organized workspace to assist colleagues in locating resources and products.
  • Complies with operational policies and procedures, including cash handling, safety, and security measures.
  • Contributes to the training of new team members by positively reinforcing successful practices and offering respectful coaching as necessary.
  • Maintains composure during busy periods or unexpected events to uphold operational standards and set a positive example for peers.
  • Utilizes appropriate procedures and documentation for all transactions.
  • Ensures accurate cash management and reconciliation with the cage.
  • Completes cash turn-in sheets and distributes them accordingly.
  • Embodies our core values, family-style service, mission, and vision.
  • Promotes our DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) culture.
  • Performs other job-related tasks as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow oral and written instructions in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to work collaboratively and build relationships.
  • Understanding and compliance with all company and departmental regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with both staff and guests.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and verbal communication in English.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT (These may be necessary to perform essential job functions)
  • Work may occur in environments that are unusually hot, cold, noisy, or smoky, and may involve slippery surfaces.
  • Tasks may be performed in confined spaces with limited access.
  • Involves the use of solvents/oils and chemicals.
  • Requires operation of electrical equipment, such as coffee machines, microwaves, blenders, and other mechanical devices.
  • Frequent interaction with staff and guests.
  • May be exposed to smoking environments and moderate noise levels.
  • Involves occasional bending and reaching, balancing, transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering carts weighing up to 75 lbs., and lifting/carrying up to 75 lbs.
  • Requires prolonged standing and repetitive use of both hands, including light grasping and manual dexterity.
  • Position necessitates entering and exiting through designated team member entrances, which may involve navigating stairs.
  • Normal vision and hearing are required.
  • Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols, perform simple tasks, and carry out basic reading, writing, and math functions.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS: Candidates must demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests, possess excellent communication and observational skills, and maintain a friendly demeanor to ensure a positive and safe environment for all. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential. Flexibility in scheduling is required, which may include working on weekends, holidays, and during peak periods.
