Role Overview:
GLOBALFOUNDRIES is in search of a driven OPC/ORC Engineer to join the OPC team.

This role involves a technical individual contributor responsible for supporting GLOBALFOUNDRIES' cutting-edge Optical Proximity Correction (OPC) and Optical Rule Check (ORC).

Engaging with advanced technologies will provide the chance to create innovative methodologies and business practices aimed at achieving highly efficient and world-class Data Preparation operations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and sustain OPC code (recipe) for various technology nodes.
  • Develop and sustain ORC code (recipe) for various technology nodes.
  • Address different facets of OPC code, including SRAFs, MRC, and Booleans.
  • Conduct ORC reviews with necessary details and complete within agreed timelines.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Maintain OPC code (recipe) for various technology nodes (e.g., 12/14nm) supporting global fabs.
  • Maintain ORC code (recipe) for various technology nodes (e.g., 12/14>) supporting global fabs.
  • Collaborate in a dynamic team environment, demonstrating strong teamwork skills with Engineers, Technicians, Managers, and IT.
  • Engage with other GF Teams such as Fab Litho, Frame, and Fab Integration Engineers to provide feedback for D2M Reviews Disposition.
  • Resolve complex technical challenges and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exhibit a strong capacity to learn and explore new technologies, opportunities, and continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with Fab processing is advantageous.
  • Conduct all activities safely and responsibly, supporting all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Education/Experience: MS/MTech + internship preferred.
  • Specialization in Microelectronics/VLSI or related fields.
  • Proficiency in English - both written and verbal.
  • Basic coding knowledge.

Preferred:
  • Experience with Mentor graphics EDA tools and/or SVRF language.
  • Familiarity with Perl, Tcl, Python, or Shell is a plus.
  • Experience with OPC is highly desirable.

Compensation:

The expected salary range is $63,000 to $142,000. The precise salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and location.
