Internship Program Overview

Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GlobalFoundries across the globe.

Our goal is to provide students with a meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation.

As an intern at GlobalFoundries, you'll experience one-on-one mentorship, work assignments that prioritize your growth and potential, professional development opportunities, and the chance to network with executives.

Summary of Role

Responsible for process integration of advanced CMOS devices on FINFET and FDSOI technology, and driving improvements related to device performance, technology yield, Cp/Cpk of inline and electrical parameters, defectivity, and more.

Essential Responsibilities

  1. Proficient use of data systems and problem-solving methodology, including Design of Experiments and FMEAs.
  2. Collaborating with device, process module, and characterization teams in driving development work for new features.
  3. Detecting and identifying issues through data analysis, and driving appropriate CIP and solution in a timely manner.
  4. Assist with new project introduction, characterization. Accountable for prioritization of projects based on business need, delegation of tasks to extended module team.

Required Qualifications

Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Master's, or PhD in EE or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.

Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.

Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)

Ability to work at least 20-40 hours per week during the internship.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Prior related internship or co-op experience
  2. Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
  3. Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  5. Strong planning & organizational skills
