Job OverviewOur company is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to enhance our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and meeting room technology, ensuring smooth operations and resolving issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve printer issues, including installation, configuration, and repair.
  • Support meeting room technology, including video conferencing equipment and presentation systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain print servers and printers.
  • Manage print queues and resolve print-related issues.
  • Collaborate with IT teams for seamless support and communication.
  • Document incident resolutions and maintain accurate records.
  • Stay updated with new technologies and trends in desktop support, printing, and meeting room technology.
  • Train other engineers on image deployment processes.
  • Serve as a Single Point of Contact for Project Management regarding deployment status and challenges.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in desktop support or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop hardware.
  • Experience with printer troubleshooting and repair.
  • Familiarity with meeting room technology and video conferencing systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Specialized Skills
  1. Print server management.
  2. Printer troubleshooting and repair.
  3. Meeting room technology support.
  4. Video conferencing system support.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Certification in desktop support or a related field (e.g., CompTIA A+).
  2. Experience with IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
  3. Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and services.
  4. Experience in a similar industry or sector.
