Job Description Summary:

EC Source is seeking a qualified individual to join the Procurement team within Major Projects. This role entails managing inventories, tool acquisition, and coordinating the movement of materials and equipment to various operational groups. The ideal candidate will possess a background in construction and/or warehousing, exhibit strong problem-solving abilities, and be skilled in developing strategies for enhanced efficiency. This position requires collaboration with geographically dispersed, semi-autonomous teams.

Responsibilities
  • Tool Procurement and Movement: Efficiently procure and relocate essential tools to operational groups to fulfill project demands across multiple locations (50%).
  • Inventory Management: Develop methodologies for tracking and maintaining minimum inventory levels for key tools and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to avoid shortages (20%).
  • Vendor Coordination: Collaborate closely with Procurement and Accounts Payable departments to ensure vendors adhere to established delivery terms (10%).
  • Process Development: Create processes for tools and equipment that align with Plan, Do, Check, Act principles (5%).
  • Organized Inventories: Foster and facilitate an organized and efficient approach to managing inventories of tools and PPE (10%).
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead by example, consistently seeking to enhance processes, advocate for the benefits of Tool Department improvements, and document achieved results (5%).
Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:
- Experience in construction, warehousing, and/or purchasing/logistics environments is preferred.
- An Associate degree is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety working programs (OSHA or equivalent) or relevant certifications is advantageous.
- A proven track record in goal setting, problem-solving, and leading change is essential.

Skills & Abilities:
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required.
- Organizational Skills: Strong capability to manage and organize inventory and tools.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail in inventory management and process development.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.

Pay Range: $50,000 to $90,000
