Job Description Summary:
EC Source, a leading international utility contracting firm, is seeking a skilled individual to join the Procurement team in Major Projects. This role entails overseeing inventories, tool acquisition, and coordinating the movement of materials and equipment to various operational groups. The ideal candidate will possess a background in construction and/or warehousing, exhibit strong problem-solving abilities, and be skilled in developing ideas for enhanced efficiency. This position requires collaboration with geographically dispersed, semi-autonomous groups.
Responsibilities- Tool Procurement and Movement: Efficiently procure and relocate necessary tools to operational groups to meet project demands across multiple locations (50%).
- Inventory Management: Develop methodologies for tracking and maintaining minimum inventory levels for essential tools and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to prevent shortages (20%).
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate closely with Procurement and Accounts Payable departments to ensure vendors adhere to established delivery terms (10%).
- Process Development: Establish processes for tools and equipment that align with Plan, Do, Check, Act principles and A3 Thinking (5%).
- Organized Inventories: Promote and facilitate an organized and efficient approach to managing inventories of tools and PPE (10%).
- Continuous Improvement: Lead by example, continuously seeking to enhance processes, advocate for the benefits of Tool Department improvements, and document results achieved (5%).
Education and Work Experience:
- Experience in construction, warehousing, and/or purchasing/logistics is preferred.
- A 2-year Associate degree is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety working programs (OSHA or equivalent) or relevant work experience/certifications is advantageous.
- A proven track record in goal setting, problem-solving, and leading change is essential.
Skills & Abilities:
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required.
- Organizational Skills: Strong capability to manage and organize inventory and tools.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail in inventory management and process development.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
Pay Range: $50,000 to $90,000
