Position Overview:

Sentara Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Care Supervisor - Registered Nurse for a Flexi/PRN, Rotating shift. This role is essential in overseeing the operational management of the hospital as the representative for the administrator on call.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate proficient clinical skills and act as a resource for nursing staff, physicians, and the community.
  • Make administrative decisions in collaboration with the administrator on call regarding any potential or actual issues within the hospital.
  • Coordinate patient care resources effectively.
  • Primarily work within our Central Float Pool, providing leadership and coordination across various units and multidisciplinary teams.

The Central Float Pool supports various departments, ensuring comprehensive care across different medical settings.

Training Requirements:

Complete de-escalation and physical intervention training within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications:
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A minimum of 2 years of acute care experience is required.
  • Critical care experience is preferred.
