Key Responsibilities- Provide first-line supervision to social work professionals and support staff.
- Conduct face-to-face sessions with patients to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver counseling and therapy.
- Work with diverse populations experiencing various clinical needs, including psychological stress, chronic illness, trauma, and substance abuse.
- Specialize in working with victims of intimate partner violence, abuse, or exploitation.
- Collaborate with patients and team members to maximize coping responses and facilitate discharge plans.
- Make appropriate community referrals for follow-up care.
- Serve as a liaison between medical staff and patients/families.
- Supervise bachelor's and master's level students and provide clinical training and supervision to MSW staff.
- Act as a liaison to the community through public speaking engagements.
- Master's degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited social work program required.
- 5 years relevant experience.
- Licensed to practice as a Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia (LCSW).
