Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our team at Ohio's Hospice. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating sources of commodities and services, awarding contracts and purchase orders, and maintaining comprehensive descriptions of available products and current prices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate sources of commodities and services to ensure the best possible prices and quality.
  • Award contracts and purchase orders to vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive descriptions of available products and current prices, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
  • Ensure all patients, families, and staff receive the highest quality of service, support, and delivery of supplies to support superior patient care.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree (A.A. or A.S.) or bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) preferred.
  • Experience in the purchasing or procurement areas of a large public or private agency; or equivalent combination of education and experience in purchasing or procurement areas.
  • Computer skills sufficient to properly document services, communicate effectively, and maintain purchasing/inventory control systems.
  • Travel may be required during daytime, nighttime, or inclement weather.
  • Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record.
  • State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage.
