Position SummaryThe Patient Services Representative embodies the core values and ethical standards of Northwestern Memorial Healthcare, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Welcome patients upon arrival, collecting necessary information and conducting patient registration, including insurance verification and payment collection.
- Update and maintain patient demographic and company information.
- Manage incoming calls and schedule appointments efficiently.
- Document and direct patient inquiries appropriately.
- Coordinate additional services for patients and their families.
- Act as a communication bridge between patients and the medical practice.
- Provide scheduling support as needed.
- Conduct daily tasks while ensuring patient safety and confidentiality.
- Prepare patient charts for upcoming appointments and manage filing of completed records.
- Collaborate with company representatives to ensure accurate service delivery.
- Review patient charts regularly to address referrals and messages.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission of Living Well.
- Assist patients and families in accessing available resources.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing patient and family inquiries promptly.
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
- Significant experience in customer service.
- Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role.
Monday to Thursday, with flexible hours as needed.
