Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Bowling Center Operations Manager to join our team at Round1. This is a leadership role that requires strong operational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bowling center, including managing sales, profits, staffing, image, and operation of the store. Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing sales and profit projections as outlined by corporate management team.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals through the efficient execution of company policies & procedures.
  • Supervising & auditing department managers to ensure they are in compliance with established store policies and procedures.
  • Providing operational and customer service training for store employees at all levels, including new hires from other stores as assigned.
  • Assisting with investigating employee issues with assistance from Human Resources & resolving escalated issues.
  • Maintaining confidential information related to employee, company, & store topics.
  • Assisting with holding weekly staff meetings with department managers to discuss and resolve any issues relating to operations, staffing, etc.
  • Ensuring the store presents a pleasing image by changing store displays for better traffic flow
  • Preparing & submitting reports to corporate: Daily Sales, Monthly Sales, COGS, Petty Cash, Labor Control
  • Creating managers' monthly schedules & audit department schedules
  • Providing store operations and personnel budget plan to Executive Management for review and approval.
  • Preparing present performance evaluations and counseling notices to direct reports.
  • Knowing and understanding all store employee job responsibilities.
  • Proactively supporting any promotional activity within the store and contributing to an effective working environment.
  • Performing special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by DM, RDO, or Executive Management Team.

Customer Relations

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and have a positive experience at our bowling center. Key responsibilities include:
  • Interacting with customers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Providing exceptional customer service by taking care of customer disputes and being readily accessible to our customers.
  • Informing the customer of all services and specials we can provide them

Auditing and Safety

You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and conducting audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that our bowling center meets all safety and security standards. Key responsibilities include:
  • Auditing refunds and/or credits against itemized sales from the previous day.
  • Auditing cash drawers and transactions.
  • Auditing and tracking special events.
  • Assisting with creating Daily Audit Reports with sales information and auditing discoveries for executive management.
  • Researching problems discovered during audits.
  • Assisting with administering IIPP procedures, Safety Programs, and procedures.
  • Assisting with curbing internal and external theft.
  • Ensuring satisfactory maintenance, appearance, and condition of assigned facilities to comply with security, safety, and environmental codes and ordinances.
  • Enforcing compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies pertaining to safety and loss prevention.
  • Complying with all OSHA requirements.

Salary

This position comes with a competitive salary of $80,000 per year, based on the market and location, plus benefits and opportunities for growth and development.

Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need to have:
  • A bachelor's degree from preferred but not required.
  • 3+ years of management experience in team building, sales development, and strong operational skills within a fast-casual theme concept.
  • Ability to gain, demonstrate, and coach with operation knowledge.
  • Ability to plan activities, set goals, and effectively manage time and work.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain alcohol certification in compliance with local ordinances.

Work Environment

As a Bowling Center Operations Manager, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with high levels of noise, dust, and activity. You will need to be able to stand and walk for extensive periods of time without breaks during busy times. In addition, you will need to be able to use your hands/fingers to handle feel and reach with hands and arms. Lifting and/or moving up to 100 lbs with assistance is required.
