Cox Communications is a leading provider of broadband services, empowering employees to build a better future. As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will play a key role in providing pre-sales support for complex managed services solutions in a cloud hosting environment.

The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert on all RapidScale solutions and possess excellent communication skills, verbal and written. You will work closely with the Sales, Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to maintain extensive and up-to-date knowledge of all existing and new product and services capabilities.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in ongoing enhancement of products and services, architecting solutions to customers' and prospects' technical and business challenges using the RapidScale product and service set. Additionally, you will provide metrics/detailed information on the number/status of opportunities being supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain internal and external relationships with clients, partners, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively at all levels.
  • Architect solutions to customers' and prospects' technical and business challenges using the RapidScale product and service set.
  • Participate in customer negotiations with sales teams and partners.
  • Ensure consistency of solutions, value proposition, and pre-sales support methodology.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of progressive experience implementing information technology solutions with a BS/BA degree or 10+ years in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in pre-sales support.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Strong problem resolution and conflict management skills.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • A strong understanding of security solutions (IPS/IDS, SIEM, Identity Management, etc.).
  • A thorough understanding of virtualization technologies.

Benefits:

  • A competitive salary range of $123,800.00 - $185,600.00 per year.
  • An annual incentive/commission target of $52,800.00.
