Job Summary:

As a Medical Assistant Certified Professional at the University of New Mexico, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support in our Pediatrics Clinic. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Medical Assistant Certified Professional.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect patient data, obtain medical history, and perform treatment procedures
  • Prepare instruments for sterilization, maintain a sanitary work area, and coordinate appointments
  • Verify medical coverage, perform basic cashiering duties, and ensure adherence to hospital policies
  • Provide quality service and customer satisfaction, and adhere to the core expectations of the Patient Centered Medical Home

Requirements:

  • High School or GED Equivalent
  • Program Graduate
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer within 30 days
  • CMA or CCMA or NCMA or RMA certification

Working Conditions:

  • Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people
  • May be required to travel to various work sites, rotate work shifts, and work in a fast-paced environment
