Medical Assistant Opportunity at UNM Medical Group, Inc.

UNM Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our Truman Health Services team. This full-time day shift position is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a range of administrative and clinical tasks in an ambulatory clinic setting, including patient registration, scheduling appointments, and handling insurance verification.
  • Manage patient interactions, both in person and by phone, including check-in/check-out procedures and collecting co-pays.
  • Gather patient data and medical history while executing routine Medical Assistant duties.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Medical Assistant Program Graduate Certificate and current Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • BLS certification
