Physical Therapist Job Overview

ECHN is a community hospital seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will provide evaluations and treatments to improve patients' functionality, utilizing your expertise in techniques like manual lymph drainage.


This position requires an individual with strong English communication skills, both verbal and written. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the use of Windows-based programs needed for department functions.


Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients based on departmental standards.
  • Conduct and modify evaluations based on the patient's symptoms, level of activity, and medical status, establishing individualized goals for each patient.
  • Treat patients with appropriate exercises, modalities, and manual techniques to relieve pain or attain established goals.
  • Develop home exercise programs and functional activities to maximize independent functional activity.
  • Document patient care in accordance with insurance guidelines and adhere to department policies.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with a minimum of a B.S.
  • Current Connecticut license in Physical Therapy.
  • Certified Manual Lymph Drainage Therapist required.
