About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Therapist to join our Assertive Community Treatment team in Allentown. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the rehabilitation and treatment of adults living in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide service coordination (case management) for assigned groups of clients, including coordinating and monitoring the activities of the individual treatment team.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of psychiatric history, mental status, diagnosis, physical and dental health, use of drugs or alcohol, education and employment, social development and functioning, and activities of daily living.

You will work closely with outside inpatient services to detoxify clients and establish linkage to outpatient treatment self-help programs, outpatient services, and residential facilities.

In this role, you will also provide direct clinical services, including individual supportive counseling and psychoeducation to individuals individually, in groups, and with family.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, or Education, and 2-3 years of mental health experience, or a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of mental health direct care experience.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a focused team.
  • Skills and competence to establish supportive trusting relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illness, and respect for client rights and personal preferences in treatment.
  • Adherence to Trauma Informed Care & Assertive Engagement principles.
  • Knowledge of mental health systems and supports.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
