Shift Details: 4:00 AM – 4:00 PM (12-hour shift); Friday to Sunday. This schedule consists of 3 days at 12 hours each (totaling 36 hours), with compensation for 40 hours at a straight-time rate. Overtime opportunities are available from Monday to Thursday.

Role Summary:
The Centerless Grinder Operator is responsible for operating industrial centerless grinding machines to process metal bars and various components. This role includes setting up machines, overseeing the grinding operations, and inspecting the finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. The primary objective is to utilize grinding machinery to manufacture finished parts from raw materials, while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Set up, operate, and maintain grinding machinery.
  2. Select appropriate grinding wheels and related tools.
  3. Conduct quality control inspections on finished products.
  4. Operate straightening presses as needed.
  5. Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  6. Collaborate with supervisors and team members effectively.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience in centerless grinding or similar grinding operations is advantageous, but not mandatory.
  2. Familiarity with operating manual or CNC machine tools in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Ability to accurately take and interpret measurements using tools such as micrometers and calipers.

Essential Skills:

  1. Proficiency in reading and interpreting machine-ready drawings.
  2. Capability to operate grinding machines or willingness to learn through provided training.
  3. Competence in using measuring instruments.
  4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
