Job Overview

At Quality Machine & Fab, we're seeking a skilled Centerless Grinder Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you'll be responsible for operating industrial centerless grinding machines to process metal bars and other components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain centerless grinding machines to ensure optimal performance and quality.
  • Select and install appropriate grinding wheels and tools to achieve precise results.
  • Perform quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Operate a straightening press as needed to achieve desired product specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with supervisors and team members to achieve production goals.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with centerless grinding or similar grinding operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with manual or CNC machine tools in a workshop setting is essential.
  • Proficiency in taking and reading measurements using tools such as micrometers and calipers is required.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions are crucial.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance is expected.

Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret machine-ready drawings is essential.
  • Capability to operate a grinding machine with training provided if necessary.
  • Proficiency in using measuring equipment is required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is expected.
