Job Summary:

Lloyd Richards Personnel Services is seeking a skilled Precision Grinder to join our team. As a Precision Grinder, you will be responsible for operating multiple machines and equipment in the grind shop to prepare and finish customer parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate precision grinders, belt polishers, hydraulic presses, lathes, mills, drill presses, welding machines, precision honing machines, centerless grinders, and overhead cranes.
  • Perform work in accordance with a schedule and deadlines.
  • Read and understand blueprints and work instructions.
  • Operate electric and pneumatic hand tools.
  • Use and calibrate precision measuring devices.
  • Perform visual and instrument inspections of your work.
  • Complete daily production cards and necessary paperwork.
  • Log daily work into the computer system.
  • Use knives and razor blades.
  • Read and understand grinding and polishing procedures.
  • Identify different thread types.
  • Understand different finishes and how to achieve them.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass pre-employment screening.
  • Steady employment history.
  • Knowledge and experience in precision grinding and polishing.
  • Ability to read and calibrate precision measuring devices.

Working Conditions:

This position requires working for extended periods in proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and performing preventative maintenance when possible.
