Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our team at Accurus Aerospace Corporation. As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating computer-controlled machines to perform various manufacturing tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate automated CNC Vertical and horizontal machines
  • Accurately locate and identify the X, Y, Z axis on Vertical and Horizontal machines
  • Use indicators to verify flatness and straightness of fixturing and tooling
  • Perform daily point checks on assigned machines and report concerns to supervisor
  • Meet departmental and company goals and objectives promptly
  • Accurately interpret product blueprints, drawings, and other work instructions
  • Use precision measuring instruments to ensure parts are machined to specifications
  • Complete complex rework on machined parts as required
  • Remove and replace dull cutting tools and follow safety protocols
  • Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, and workpieces on machines
  • Listen to machines during operation to detect irregular sounds and adjust as needed
  • Troubleshoot production issues and program edits
  • Monitor and adjust coolant systems as needed
  • Transfer programs from servers to CNC modules using computer network links
  • Enter control instructions into machine control units to start operation
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Vocational training or certification in machining preferred
  • Minimum of three years experience in a manufacturing role utilizing complex multi-axis machining centers
  • Experience reading and interpreting shop blueprints, sketches, and other technical information
  • Demonstrated basic math skills and experience using precision measuring instruments
  • Experience using indicators to verify flatness and straightness of tooling and fixturing
  • Experience troubleshooting production issues and program edits
Working Conditions

Work is performed in a manufacturing shop environment where working conditions may vary significantly. The employee will be exposed to excessive noise, dust, smoke, mist, fumes, and hazardous equipment.

The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, including hearing protection, eye and hand protection, and safety footwear.
