The Senior Reporting Analyst position plays a crucial role within the Global Regulatory and Capital Reporting (GRCR) team. This prominent function is responsible for delivering financial data to regulatory bodies, including the Federal Reserve Bank (FRB) and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). The position enjoys significant visibility within the organization, providing opportunities for direct collaboration with senior management and close interaction with various departments across Citigroup, such as Risk, Treasury, and Controllers & Transformation.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate discussions with reporting teams and key stakeholders to comprehend issue specifics, root causes, and remediation strategies affecting regulatory reports.
  • Conduct materiality assessments in collaboration with reporting teams to ascertain the necessity of refilings.
  • Utilize expertise in regulatory reporting to effectively review and challenge the implications of issues, root causes, and controls, engaging with reporting teams and other stakeholders.
  • Examine historical issues or refilings to identify potential governance or control deficiencies within the organization that may contribute to reporting challenges.
  • Ensure the consistent application of materiality procedures and relevant policy requirements.
  • Engage with key stakeholders regarding the progress of strategic remediation for significant reporting errors.
  • Provide guidance to local reporting teams to support the uniform implementation of materiality and restatement standards.
  • Lead or participate in projects and ad-hoc requests as necessary.
This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with over 100 team members across various locations, including New York, Manila, and Tampa, consisting of MBAs and CPAs who foster a supportive environment that encourages continuous development and growth. The mission of GRCR is to deliver comprehensive and accurate consolidated financial statement analysis and related information to regulators, investors, external analysts, and senior management promptly and efficiently.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience with U.S. Bank Regulatory Reports (e.g., FR Y-9C, FFIEC 031, FR Y-14 actuals).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Prior experience with Big 4 or large consulting/advisory firms is advantageous.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and succinctly to all organizational levels.
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented, capable of leading in a professional and challenging environment while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and respond competently to work challenges amidst changes and ambiguity.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various levels of management.
  • Skilled in developing productive working relationships with diverse groups across Citigroup, as well as with external auditors and regulators.
  • Adept at analyzing and addressing highly complex issues.
  • Proficient in driving innovation and championing efficiency and productivity improvements.
