Key Responsibilities:
The Ji Lab at Loyola University Chicago is dedicated to exploring regenerative niches for the recovery of damaged lung tissue.

Our Medical Campus is renowned for its pioneering and collaborative research atmosphere, with substantial investments in advancing interdisciplinary studies in computational, genomic, cellular, and molecular aspects of pulmonary disorders.

The Ji Lab employs cutting-edge computational methodologies to discover novel molecular endotypes, biomarkers, and microbiota associated with acute lung injury and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).

We currently have three openings available, ranging from Assistant Professor to postdoctoral research associate, contingent upon the candidates' experience and qualifications.

The selected individuals will devise and execute computational strategies, stem cell research, bioinformatics, and biostatistics in relation to ARDS (including COVID-19) and sarcoidosis (lung cancer).

They will engage in highly interdisciplinary projects, utilizing advanced techniques for the analysis of clinical and omics data. Ideal candidates should demonstrate motivation, organizational skills, effective time management, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Qualifications:

Essential:
Doctoral Degree (MD or PhD) in Molecular Biology, Biology, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Immunology, or related biomedical fields.

Physical Requirements:
Standing, Repetitive Motions

Work Environment:
Involves interaction with animals

Minimum Education and Experience:

Special Instructions:
