Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Assistant Professor to join our team at Loyola University Chicago Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting theoretical research on NIH-funded projects related to viral hepatitis dynamics in vitro, in vivo, and on the population level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement mathematical and computational models to analyze viral hepatitis dynamics
  • Collaborate with researchers to develop and test hypotheses related to viral hepatitis
  • Develop and maintain programming skills in languages such as Netlogo, Anylogic, Matlab, Python, Monolix, and R
  • Conduct literature reviews and stay up-to-date with the latest research in the field of viral hepatitis
  • Communicate research findings through publications and presentations
Requirements
  • PhD in applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, or mathematical biology
  • At least 4 years of postdoctoral research experience
  • Strong programming skills and experience with mathematical and computational modeling
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and oral
