**Job Responsibilities:**

• Establish and maintain an independent, externally-funded research program

• Contribute to teaching graduate and medical education

• Develop and publish research in the field of oncology

• Collaborate with department faculty and faculty in other departments/institutes

• Apply for research grants on an ongoing basis

• Act as faculty advisor

• Participate in committee meetings and educational meetings as assigned

• Develop and implement research projects in the field of oncology

• Collaborate with colleagues to advance research in the field

• Develop and teach courses in the field of oncology

• Mentor students and postdoctoral researchers

**Qualifications:**

• Must hold a doctoral degree in basic and applied biomedical sciences or closely related field

• Must have at least two years of postdoctoral experience with a strong record of scholarship

• Must possess good interpersonal skills and effective written and oral communication skills

• Must have a strong publication record and demonstrated excellence in teaching

• Must have outstanding leadership skills

• PhD, MD/PhD or MD degree
