About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Associate to join our Accounting team at Carefree of Colorado. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting of all accounts receivable information within established company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for collections, reconciliations, and recoveries.
  • Assists in the completion of month-end and year-end accounts receivable processes.
  • Ensures proper posting of customer payments and timely customer collections.
  • Prepares and reconciles aging customer accounts.
  • Issues customer statements.
  • Documents, accounts for, and resolves all unauthorized deductions and bad debt.
  • Informs the Accounting Manager and/or Director of Finance of any potential issues.
  • Reviews orders on hold and makes decisions to release orders or maintain on hold status for customer action and resolution.
  • Initializes customer credit reviews and recommendations to increase or decrease customer credit and implements the changes after Accounting Manager/Director of Finance approval.
  • Prepares and books monthly A/R trade journal entry and related reconciliation.
  • Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timely reconciliation of Accounts Receivable cash reconciliation from cash memo, warranty analysis, and warranty clearing account reconciliation.
  • Ensures A/R policies and procedures are accurate and current and creates new policies and procedures as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Recent A/R experience with Acumatica preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience with similar responsibilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in business preferred, not required.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheet creation, lookup formulas, pivot tables, graphs, etc.
  • Demonstrated initiative and a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with customers, management, and employees inside and outside of the department.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and react quickly in a fast-paced environment.
