Nursing Unit Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nursing Unit Supervisor at Roane Medical Center. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for assisting the Nurse Manager in delivering high-quality patient care and administrative management of the Nursing unit.
Responsibilities- Assist in the selection, training, and evaluation of nursing staff.
- Maintain operational reports and records, and collect statistical data for administrative and regulatory purposes.
- Coordinate and report nursing activities performed on behalf of patients.
- Attend meetings and participate in nursing committees and interdisciplinary committees as assigned.
- Establish and maintain communication between the nursing unit, medical staff, and ancillary departments for problem-solving and quality improvement.
- Utilize appropriate lines of communication within the facility.
- Assist in establishing and implementing unit goals and objectives in alignment with the facility and system.
- Promote a safe environment for delivering high-quality patient care using evidence-based practices.
- Protect patient confidentiality by promoting professional staff communications.
- Supervise, institute, and evaluate nursing interventions and documentation.
- Demonstrate competence in performing critical skills, including appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served.
- Work collaboratively with other disciplines to ensure timely, efficient, and effective patient care.
- Strive to achieve high customer satisfaction using Journey to Excellence tactics.
- Facilitate professional development of staff.
- Follow policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required; possession of a bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field preferred.
- Three (3) years of recent clinical experience.
- Current TN state registered nurse license.
