Midstate Radiology Associates is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at our Vernon Imaging Location. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic MRI scanning procedures, selecting the correct technique and utilizing patient assessment to produce high-quality images.
- Participate in complex invasive MRI exams, assisting radiologists in performing procedures and producing images for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes.
- Start intravenous sites, assess existing sites, and inject contrast according to established protocols to support radiologists in diagnosis.
- Maintain MRI equipment in good working order, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Document patient and exam information, storing images on archive media for future reference.
- Prepare examinations for radiologist interpretation, including correct identification and processing.
- Accurately input data into the RIS system, capturing all charges and relevant information.
- Perform and document weekly quality assurance testing on equipment to maintain high performance.
- Work effectively as a team member, providing quality service through communication, cooperation, and collaboration.
- Provide clinical supervision and instruction to students, maintaining understanding of policies, procedures, and clinical competency processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved radiology program.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
- CT state license.
- CPR certification may be required.
- Maintenance of continuing education credits as required by licensure.
- At least one year's experience as a radiological technologist.
- Associates or Applied Science Degree in a related field.
May be required to rotate on night, weekend, and/or holiday call schedules. May be required to cover ancillary offices as needed. OSHA Class 1 exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens. May involve physical lifting and/or walking.
