We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team at Adventist HealthCare's Outpatient Imaging department in Rockville, MD. As an MRI Tech, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners and ancillary equipment, training new employees, and ensuring patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI scanners and ancillary equipment with proficiency
- Train new employees on MRI scanner operation and safety procedures
- Identify and perform MRI safety procedures on patients with implantable devices
- Understand principles and dangers involved in oral and intravenous contrast administration
- Accurately document MRI exams, contrast administration, and other relevant information
- Maximize patient throughput and demonstrate teamwork with coworkers
- Collaborate with radiologists, referring physicians, nurses, and other departments to ensure best patient care
- Perform periodic QA procedures and contribute to department time management
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiography and/or Certified MRI by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Active Maryland license required
- ARRT Advanced Certification in MRI
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- One year of current MRI scanning experience in a hospital environment - IV Certification preferred
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, with flexibility to float between offices
Pay Range:
$55.76 per hour
