Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Reporting Project Lead to join our team in New York City. This 6-month contract position is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with expertise in CFTC regulations and trade reporting within the hedge fund industry. The ideal candidate will develop and implement effective CFTC trade reporting strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and enhancing our reporting processes.

The estimated salary for this role is $150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement comprehensive CFTC trade reporting strategies.
  • Apply advanced compliance expertise in regulatory reporting, control room operations, retroactive initiatives, and compliance surveillance.
  • Manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and oversee team members and remediation work where needed.
  • Analyse data to extract insights, manipulate, and understand data effectively; knowledge of SQL (desired).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data quality and reporting efficiency.
  • Evaluate and ensure timely and accurate submission of reports to CFTC and other regulatory bodies.
  • Assess CFTC regulations to provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on reporting obligations.
  • Deliver training and support to staff on CFTC reporting requirements and best practices.
  • Present reports to senior management on compliance status and initiatives.
