The System and Process Assurance group at Withum is seeking an experienced IT Senior Compliance Manager. The successful candidate will have expertise in performing Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance consulting, internal controls assessment, COSO consulting, and control risk assessments.

This role can be based out of various US office locations and involves a hybrid work arrangement, with 3 days spent in the office. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with senior management teams, audit committees, and PCAOB inspectors.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Assisting audit teams with planning and testing of Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR)
  • Performing process walkthroughs of IT general controls and application controls
  • Assisting integrated audit teams with control documentation and controls risk assessment
  • Identifying and documenting internal controls for SOX consulting projects
  • Drawing informed opinions on the adequacy and effectiveness of SOX and internal controls
  • Preparing work papers summarizing evidentiary data obtained and conclusions reached

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, MIS, Accounting, or a related field
  • CISA certification
  • At least 10-12 years of experience working for a public accounting firm
  • Effective client service and communication skills
  • Extensive experience managing SOX 404-B ITGC engagements and testing of application controls

The estimated annual salary for this position is $165,000, considering the base compensation and location factors.
