Healthcare Ambassador for Patient Care

We're seeking a dedicated Healthcare Ambassador for Patient Care to join our team at Optum Tri-State
As a Healthcare Ambassador, you will be a vital member of our care delivery team, responsible for delivering excellent patient experiences through a variety of clinical and clerical skills.
This role offers a salary range of $16.00 to $23.94 per hour for new hires in the Tri-State region, with opportunities to grow and develop your skills in a dynamic healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare exam rooms by disinfecting, stocking, and verifying appropriate medications are available.
- Greet patients and assist them with signing in and completing paperwork.
- Answer incoming phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner.
- Assist and accompany patients to exam rooms.
- Interview patients and record information into the medical record.
- Measure, collect, and record patient vital signs.
- Perform basic lab testing and other approved tests.
- Display proficient phlebotomy practices.
- Prepare specimens for transportation to the lab.
- Assist in examination and treatment of patients under clinician direction.
- Place follow-up phone calls to patients.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in healthcare or customer service-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Medical Assisting.
- EPIC software experience.
