Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional guest service, positively influencing interactions with both external and internal guests and team members; demonstrate resilience in managing challenging guest situations and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Process guest reservations via phone, accommodating both same-day and advance bookings as necessary.
  • Allocate guest accommodations in line with established procedures.
  • Manage PBX calls, directing them to the appropriate personnel or addressing guest inquiries as needed.
  • Handle assigned cash bank accurately and perform account postings.
  • Maintain awareness of hotel occupancy levels, special events, in-house groups, and other factors impacting the reception desk's daily operations.
  • Uphold positive guest relations; refer guests to appropriate personnel when unable to resolve complaints.
  • Stay informed about all company services and entertainment options available to guests.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in a hotel environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data entry and 10-key operations is advantageous.
  • Experience with AS/400 hotel management systems, calculators, credit card machines, fax machines, copiers, and player card systems.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with guests and team members at all levels.
  • Competence in utilizing computers to access, interpret, and input guest information.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $19.00/hr along with a $1,000 Sign-on Bonus ($500 paid after 90 days of employment; $500 paid after 180 days), contingent upon maintaining good standing with the company.
