Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Technical Assistant III to join our team in Administration & Finance Information Technology. As a Technical Assistant III, you will configure, maintain, and support computer systems operated by A&F IT clients, providing mission-critical services including file and print sharing, group collaboration, messaging and calendaring, and managed server and workstation security.

Responsibilities

* Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade PC and MAC workstations and peripherals
* Install software applications and operating systems on network attached workstations
* Set up workstation peripherals and configure software and operating systems for network connectivity
* Perform system imaging, data recovery, and workstation lifecycle maintenance
* Diagnose and troubleshoot connectivity problems
* Monitor workstation performance
* Stay current with information security practices and industry standards
* Make technology recommendations to campus clients and participate in planning, installation, and expansion of local area network systems
* Create and document procedures and record work performed

Requirements

* 1 year of relevant experience or Associate degree can substitute for experience
* Experience working with multiple computer systems in a networked client/server environment
* Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, shared resources management, and security management
* Excellent communication skills and ability to consult with non-technical individuals
* Experience with Microsoft Windows, Linux, DameWare Utilities, Symantec Ghost Enterprise, and data communications
* Ability to pass CJIS background check

Benefits
