Job Summary

The Project Engineer 2 will play a crucial role in the successful execution of construction projects at JE Dunn. This position will be responsible for supporting routine construction and field execution responsibilities, utilizing construction fundamentals and company best practice standards, processes, resources, and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in implementing project safety plans and ensure a culture of compliance through training, toolbox talks, and communication with Safety Representatives.
  • Support the preparation of estimates, schedules, work plans, daily logs, and other project documentation.
  • Pre-plan crew activities, fulfill daily task plan requirements, complete look-ahead schedules, and provide updates to project superintendents.
  • Support and/or complete job set-up and project administration in CMiC and other company technologies.
  • Participate with project teams in managing subcontractor scope of work.
  • Coordinate with internal project support functions as directed by project teams.
  • Control costs by evaluating and improving processes of assigned tasks.
  • Participate in project QA/QC planning to ensure quality for assigned tasks.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of project crew schedules.
  • Provide analysis for MOC Materials and Other Costs and equipment on project sites.
  • Support and participate in training and mentoring less experienced project team members.
Requirements
  • Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner.
  • Communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Knowledge of organizational structure and available resources.
  • Knowledge of Lean process and philosophy.
  • Knowledge of required construction technology.
  • Ability to apply fundamentals of the means and methods of construction management.
  • Knowledge of self-perform and labor productivity.
  • Ability to assess and optimize project productivity.
  • Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally.
