Job Summary:

As a key member of the Sheraton Flowood team, the Housekeeping Assistant Manager will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the Housekeeping Department. In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager, this individual will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the department and ensuring that all tasks are completed in accordance with Sheraton Flowood's high standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Coordinate Housekeeping Staff: Ensure that all housekeeping staff are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspect and Maintain Guest Rooms: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms to ensure that they meet Sheraton Flowood's high standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Manage Housekeeping Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, including the management of housekeeping staff, inventory, and supplies.
  • Ensure Guest Satisfaction: Respond promptly and effectively to guest requests and concerns, ensuring that all guests receive exceptional service and a high level of satisfaction.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure that all records, including guest requests, housekeeping staff performance, and inventory management, are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, including Front Office and Engineering, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Housekeeping Department.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or hospitality setting, with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
