Job Summary

As the Assistant General Manager at Home2 Suites Olive Branch, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the hotel and providing exceptional guest experiences. In the absence of the General Manager, you will supervise and support various departments, including Guest Services, Food & Beverage, Food Production, Engineering, Accounting, Sales, and Housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Support Hotel Departments: Ensure the smooth operation of the hotel by supervising and supporting various departments, including Guest Services, Food & Beverage, Food Production, Engineering, Accounting, Sales, and Housekeeping.
  • Assist the General Manager: Assist the General Manager in revenue generation programs, participate in sales efforts, and help develop managerial and hourly employees through Corporate-approved training programs.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Create an environment where employees make empowered decisions to ensure guest satisfaction, and follow up on empowerment successes and opportunities with Department Heads.
  • Financial Reports: Assist the General Manager in creating financial reports as required by the Corporate Office, and meet all Corporate-imposed deadlines.
  • Training and Development: Ensure that training in service standards is taking place in each department, and recruit, hire, and train Guest Services staff based on occupancy.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in a Rooms or F&B department in a hotel, or a 4-year college degree and at least 2-3 years of experience in a Rooms or F&B department at a hotel.
  • Qualifications: Previous supervisory experience required, proficiency in Windows Operating Systems, and the ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Skills: Effective communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with the ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
