Key Responsibilities:

The Revenue Account Manager will report directly to the Director of Accounts Receivable and will also collaborate closely with the Vice President Controller. The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the monthly and semi-monthly billing cycles
  • Conducting revenue analysis and reviews in multiple formats
  • Ensuring compliance with GAAP for revenue recognition
  • Guiding the billing team in reviewing SalesForce CPQ quotes and addressing any discrepancies or procedural enhancements
  • Driving improvements in the overall billing processes and fostering a cohesive team environment
  • Collaborating with internal departments on non-standard contract terms and automating billing and revenue recognition
  • Facilitating change management initiatives within the billing team and across sales and product departments
  • Executing month-end journal entries and reconciliations
  • Preparing internal aging reports
  • Assisting collections, sales, and operations teams in resolving billing and account discrepancies
  • Supporting the Accounts Receivable and Accounting teams with additional projects and tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years focused on revenue recognition
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting is required
  • Foundational knowledge of NetSuite or similar ERP accounting systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in SaaS or technology sectors is preferred
  • Previous exposure to foreign currency transactions is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to assertively address issues
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Excel, with the ability to manage large datasets efficiently
  • Detail-oriented, responsive, organized, and efficient
  • Ability to thrive in both team-oriented and independent work environments
  • Self-motivated and proactive
