Position Overview:

The University of Miami Health System, known as UHealth, is seeking a highly skilled Epic Analyst 3 within our Information Technology Department. This role is pivotal in overseeing and guiding both Associate Epic Analysts and Epic Analysts, ensuring optimal application performance and user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary support contact for application end-users, addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the Epic application.
  • Manage all phases of testing and document workflow designs to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Analyze clinical work processes to assess the impact of technology on workflows.
  • Identify issues and facilitate their resolution in a timely manner.
  • Support junior staff in handling service tickets, implementing application changes, and managing daily operations.
  • Collaborate with training teams to create documentation and training strategies for new features and application changes.
  • Engage with stakeholders and end-users to align the application with UHealth's clinical and business requirements.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to relevant committees.
  • Maintain regular communication with team members through weekly project meetings.
  • Continuously review project statuses and issues with leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Stay informed about UHealth policies, procedures, and operational practices.
  • Adhere to university and departmental policies, safeguarding university assets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Epic certification in Resolute Professional Billing Administration is mandatory, along with additional certifications in related areas.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Epic build processes.
  • At least 5 years of experience in hospital revenue cycle management is preferred.
  • Demonstrated operational, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work evenings, nights, and weekends as required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in leading, motivating, and developing team members.
  • Any combination of relevant education, experience, and certifications may be considered.
