Senior Epic Analyst

Position Overview:

The University of Miami Health System, known as UHealth, is seeking a dedicated Epic Analyst 3 to join our Information Technology Department. This role is pivotal in overseeing and guiding the Associate Epic Analysts and Epic Analysts within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary support contact for application end-users.
  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the Epic application.
  • Manage all phases of testing and document workflow designs.
  • Analyze clinical work processes and assess the impact on workflows.
  • Identify issues and facilitate their resolution.
  • Assist junior staff in evaluating and resolving service tickets and implementing application changes.
  • Collaborate with trainers to develop documentation and training strategies for application updates.
  • Engage with stakeholders and end-users to ensure the application aligns with UHealth's operational needs.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and relevant committees.
  • Maintain regular communication with team members and participate in project team meetings.
  • Review project statuses and issues with leadership on an ongoing basis.
  • Stay informed about UHealth's policies, procedures, and business operations.
  • Adhere to University and unit-level policies while safeguarding University assets.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Epic certification in Resolute Professional Billing Administration is required, along with additional certifications in related areas.
  • A minimum of 3 years of Epic build experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in hospital revenue cycle management is preferred.
  • Strong operational, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer software.
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve various problems effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Capability to lead, motivate, develop, and train team members.
  • Any combination of relevant education, experience, and certifications may be considered.
