Position Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Role Overview:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the research, development, and design of innovative products. Your role will involve enhancing existing designs, selecting appropriate materials and components, and producing detailed drawings along with comprehensive Bills of Materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and coordinate engineering and design activities for specific projects and products.
  • Oversee the creation of layouts and modifications to existing designs for production efficiency.
  • Utilize engineering tools to assess design criteria including strength, noise, functionality, ergonomics, safety, and quality standards.
  • Engage with suppliers to establish product specifications and component requirements.
  • Collaborate with production, manufacturing engineering, marketing, and service teams throughout project execution.
  • Prepare and evaluate complete engineering change documentation, ensuring accuracy in Bills of Materials.
  • Assess product performance and modifications to enhance user satisfaction, which may involve field evaluations.
  • Support fellow engineers and designers with necessary engineering insights to finalize design tasks.
  • Identify and implement solutions for production and warranty challenges.
  • Guide others in interpreting detailed engineering drawings.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 8-12 years of experience in comprehensive mechanical design and product development.
  • Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, and heavy machinery.
  • Extensive experience with Solidworks.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal design.

  • Excellent communication capabilities.

Employment Type: Permanent position.

Work Environment:

This role is based in a dynamic environment that includes both an engineering lab and a manufacturing floor. The position requires active participation in the manufacturing process, including taking measurements and collaborating with the production team.
