About the Role:
Our client is seeking a Financial Accountant to enhance their finance department. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the financial stability of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and bank reconciliations.
2. Prepare financial forecasts and comprehensive financial statements.
3. Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
4. Ensure accurate payroll processing and address any discrepancies.
5. Establish and uphold internal financial controls and procedures.
6. Generate periodic financial reports, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
7. Analyze accounting data and produce insightful financial reports.
8. Audit financial transactions and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
9. Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and legislation.
10. Collaborate with the Financial Manager and Accounting Manager to enhance financial processes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accountant within the Finance sector.
3. Proficient in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks.
4. Experience in the Consumer Products and Manufacturing industries is highly advantageous.
5. Strong understanding of bookkeeping, account reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
6. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including GAAP.
7. Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
8. Ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
10. CPA or CMA certification is considered a plus.
