Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our Outpatient Clinic team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to individuals impacted by mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual developmental disabilities.
About the RoleAs a Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive physical and mental health assessments, identifying and analyzing factors that affect mental health, and developing treatment plans based on biopsychosocial theories and evidence-based standards of care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough physical and mental health assessments to identify individual needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Analyze data from multiple sources to inform diagnosis and treatment decisions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each individual.
- Prescribe medications and educate individuals on their use, intended effects, and potential adverse effects.
- Manage psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis assessment and intervention.
- Current and valid board certification in psychiatry.
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an approved psychiatric residency.
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Georgia.
- Current DEA registration.
- Excellent knowledge and familiarity with current DSM criteria.
- Familiarity with crisis assessment tools and techniques.
- Strong working knowledge of general psychiatric principles and practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bilingual abilities a plus.
